Our Automation and Information Systems team will deliver a complete, integrated, controls and information system.  We can meet your controls needs, from initial project scope definition and documentation, through development and implementation.  The Automation and Information Systems department works closely with our Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Process departments to provide a comprehensive solution to your operation’s needs.  We include integrated information systems as they are increasingly a critical and integral part of the automation process.

We provide many services to help you achieve the goals of an industrial automation and information systems project:

• Industrial automation project scope definition
• Functional/operational specification development
• Development of other documentation including operator and maintenance manuals
• Automation and information systems hardware and software specification and system design
• PLC, HMI software development, including full testing and simulation using actual project hardware (when possible)
• Communications network development
• Distributed control systems development
• Integration of components and systems provided by multiple vendors/OEMs
• Information systems/data acquisition and integration (i.e. data historian, reporting)
• Checkout, commissioning, and start-up support
• Remote support (as needed, where possible)

We work with our Electrical Engineering department to provide these Electrical Design Services:

• Bid specifications
• Scopes of work for demolition and installation
• Bills of material
• Control and network panel design and fabrication
• Control and information system drawings: I/O schematics, communication network architecture drawings, panel layouts, MCC layouts, device location plans, one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, etc.

We work with our Mechanical Process Engineering department to provide these Mechanical Process Design Services:

• PFD development
• P&ID development
